Set in the historic grounds of Topkapi Palace, the Istanbul Archaeological Museums complex is one of the most important in the world. Comprising three distinct museums — the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the Ancient Orient, and the Museum of Islamic Art (Tiled Kiosk Museum) — this site houses over one million artifacts from ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the Ottoman Empire.
