Whether you’re trekking through Parc National des Pyrénées in France or exploring Ordesa y Monte Perdido in Spain, you’ll find a mix of raw nature, rich culture, and unforgettable views.

Suggested 5-Day Hiking Itinerary (Moderate Level):

🏞️ Day 1 – Cauterets & Lac de Gaube (France)

  • Base yourself in Cauterets, a charming mountain spa town

  • Half-day hike to the stunning Lac de Gaube via Pont d’Espagne (option to continue to Refuge des Oulettes de Gaube)

  • Perfect warm-up hike with glacial scenery and dramatic peaks

  • Optional visit to thermal baths in the evening

🏔️ Day 2 – Gavarnie & the Cirque de Gavarnie

  • Explore the famous Cirque de Gavarnie, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

  • Hike to the Grande Cascade (Europe’s highest waterfall)

  • Option: Climb further to the Brèche de Roland for experienced hikers

  • Stay overnight in the village of Gavarnie or nearby mountain lodge

🌲 Day 3 – Transfer to Ordesa Valley (Spain)

  • Cross into Spain via the Bujaruelo Pass or by vehicle

  • Start from Torla and hike into the Ordesa Valley, one of Spain’s most beautiful canyons

  • Highlights: Monte Perdido, Cola de Caballo waterfall, dramatic cliffs

  • Overnight in Torla or mountain refuges like Góriz

🌄 Day 5 – Back to France via Néouvielle Natural Reserve

  • Classic loop: Lacs d’Aubert et d’Aumar – ideal for a peaceful farewell walk

  • End in Saint-Lary-Soulan for a well-deserved meal or spa session
